Clay & Abbott are a 3rd generation family business. We provide specialist engineering and installation solutions to the commercial and industrial laundry sector.
Established in 1973 by Graham Clay and John Patrick Abbott, Clay & Abbott is based in Atherstone, Warwickshire. Now led by Adrian Clay, we have grown into a nationally recognised engineering company in the laundry industry.

Clay & Abbott have a proud history of working with the laundry and cleaning sector.
We work closely with leading manufacturers of industrial laundry machinery. Our experienced team of engineers create individually designed steel fabrications in our workshop to suit your business, space and needs, which we then deliver and install on site. We aim to work around your business to reduce impact on your operational times and costs.
We have provided system renovations and delivered bespoke major installations to a multitude of smaller independents and national commercial and industrial brands. At all times our priority is to deliver the best solution for your business.
Our Facility
At Clay & Abbott we have our own well-equipped Manufacturing and Mechanical Installation Facility based in Atherstone, Warwickshire. We have the capabilities to produce steel fabrications such as: guarding, tank stands, access platforms, handrails and pipework.
We are able to overhaul some laundry machinery within our workshop, as well as carrying out welding repairs. However, we also offer a fully mobile workforce for all your on site requirements.
To support our facility we offer PC-based planning and project management programmes, CAD facilities and email for the instantaneous receipt of drawings and transmission of information.
